Christian Beliefs

A Christian is someone who believes in and follows Jesus Christ. The list below is of some basic and important Christian beliefs.

*There is only one God. He is eternal, holy, just, merciful, loving, and more.

*God exists in a Trinity of Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

*The Son became flesh (human). This is Jesus Christ. He was fully God and fully man.

*All people have sinned. Everyone has done wrong things against God and against other people.

*Jesus died on the cross for humanity's sins, was buried, rose from the dead (the Resurrection), and ascended into heaven.

*Only through Jesus may a person receive forgiveness for their sins and receive eternal life.

*The Bible alone is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. 

---Belief in only one God, in God as a Trinity, in Jesus as God in flesh, in Jesus death for sins on the cross and resurrection, in Jesus as the only way to God and eternal life...these are basic beliefs required for one to be a Christian.
